All oral presentations will be held in Noh Theater (1st floor). The poster session will be held in Conference rooms 3 and 4 (2nd floor).
Please note that speakers are kindly requested to take shoes off on in the Noh Theater.
Presentation guidelines
Professor Carlo Jacoboni, who participated to all the previous editions of the conference since that far 1973, will give us a special talk on “The history and future prospects of EDISON”. The session will be held from 12:00 pm on July 18 (Thu).
A get-together party wil be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on July 14 (Sun) at Ristorante L'Orchestrata (1st floor of the conference venue) and the Garden. Snacks and drinks will be served.
The host performs a tea ceremony, and serves you a cup of green tea. Then, you can make a green tea on your own. After tea ceremony, enjoy the view of Japanese Zen garden and the tour of the temple.
Horyu-ji Temple features unique Chinese and Korean architecture, over 300 of Japan’s best Buddhist carvings and a pagoda that is said to be the world’s oldest wooden building.
Known as “Nyonin-Koya” or Koyasan for women, Murou-ji Temple was built in the 9th century and was one of the rare temples that welcomed women at the time. It is still very popular with female visitors. Even in summer, the complex is completely shaded and feels refreshingly cool.
One of the most beautiful temples in the area, Hasedera, founded in AD 686, is often called the temple of flowers. The temple is perched near the top of a mountain, reached by a covered stairway, lined with stone lanterns and flowers.
Ho-Shuku is one of the most famous sake brands made in Nara.
Buses pass through winding mountain roads.
